Circle Software was formed in 1981 to produce software for the
recently introduced Commodore Pet computer, and then later for the BBC micro, and the Acorn Archimedes
running 'Arthur' and later RISC-OS-2.
All our software is fully guaranteed to operate correctly under all versions of RISC-OS from 3.1 onwards,
and is fully compliant with the latest RISC-OS-4.
Since the demise of Acorn, we are still fully committed to supporting RISC-OS computers,
whoever makes them, and are registered with RISCOS Ltd as developers.
Our main product is a relational database called Impact.
This was originally released in 1992 as a simple 'flat' (non-relational) database, but it has since evolved into something much more powerful, mainly as a result of customer feedback.
In 1999 CJE took over distribution and sale of all of Circle Software's products, which are listed below.
We have set up a mailing list for the Impact database package that we sell. The mailing list is intended for the discussion of new features, the reporting of any features that we were unaware of.
